The Solid Mechanics Conferences are a series of biennial international conferences, which have been organized by the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN) since 1953. They aim to maintain high scientific standards and provide a friendly atmosphere, facilitating discussion of research topics in solid mechanics. This time, the Conference was hosted and co-organized by the Cracow University of Technology.
